TRANSMOTION

TRANSMOTION – premiere 14 September 2019, in Theater Rotterdam (NL)

Currently, for the season 2019/20 the DIVEinD’s team is busy developing a new project, TRANSMOTION.

After a series of performances looking at the essence of the performing bodies, Dario comes back as a performer in his own work. Together with an interdisciplinary team of artists, he will search for a balance between theatre architecture, sound, space installation, and body language to create an experiential performance for and with the audience. How can we transform physical spaces to allow the viewer to be immersed in an environment that makes us aware of our senses beyond the image? How can the performative elements shift the viewer’s attention and allow it to experience the performance from different angles? How can the performers push the boundaries of the public within this space and vice versa? How does the environment reflect on the body? If we are more aware of our physicality would we be more aware of the environment we are in? These and other questions will be researched during the creative process and the multiple encounters with the audience.

“By breaking through the traditional division of roles between spectator and maker we reflect on the physical role of the other (the environment) and the physical role of the audience in the creative process. We develop new ways of presenting, creating and observing through a poetic shared experience”.
